Key Components of Good Practice

Our model of good practice reflects a staged approach. It is derived from research into service user and carer involvement in education and from the views of those who have already experienced what does and does not work. The model identifies three dimensions of good practice: building respectful relationships, strengthening organisational capacity and creating a successful learning environment. It identifies key components of good practice within each of these and maps these to the actions recommended in this Guide.
